Response policy
Comments, But Carefully
Daft Choices accepts comments and examples by email. They are not posted automatically and are never displayed publicly without explicit permission.
The rule
Responses are private by default. They may inform revisions, new examples or future notes, but they are not a public comment thread.
If a response is useful enough to show, it goes through an internal approval check first. Public display requires explicit permission, approved wording and removal of sensitive details.
What to send
- A short example of the pattern in the wild.
- A correction where the draft is too broad, too narrow or missing something important.
- A question that would make the note sharper.
What not to send
- Confidential material, personal data or anything covered by an employer policy.
- Names of individuals who are not already part of a public record.
- Anything that depends on being published instantly.
